The modern airport of Skopje was built by TAV, a Turkish construction and operation company for airports. The structural design of the terminal and utility buildings was done by Intac Engineering. Due to its importance as a critical infrastrcture, the design of the airport buildings require a high seismic performance which will assure operationality after a strong earthquake.
Senso Engineering provided assistance to Intac Engineering in performance based design and check of the terminal building by using nonlinear dynamic analyses.
